The Gaura lindheimeri ‘Siskiyou Pink’ is one of those wonderful plant cases that change the history of a species. It was introduced itself as the first pure pink color flowers of Gaura (syn. Oenothera) variety, to the American breeder Baldassare Mineo, who distinguished it among a multitude of whites cultivated.

He reproduced it and gave it to the flower lovers audience, the distant 1994. From that year until now, Gaura lindheimeri ‘Siskiyou Pink’ does not cease to embellish gardens and landscapes, bringing the species into the light of gardening and landscape architecture.

The ‘Siskiyou Pink’ was the first Gaura variety with pink color, expanding the color "palette" of the species.

The Gaura lindheimeri ‘Siskiyou Pink’ is a a semi-woody perennial herbaceous plant. In relation to the typical species that is upright, it has a more spread form.

The dominant ornamental element is the abundance of pink flowers and of course its long-lasting flowering.

In terms of size, the height of the plant is as large as its diameter, ranging between 0.5 and 1.5 m (2-5 ft).

It has a spherical shape, symmetrical canopy, with a rather irregular outline, is of a fine texture, while its foliage is dense, giving to the plant a compact appearance.
